Description

This project was designed by Mr. Bijan Homayouni, as a project leader while he was employed in Crossey Engineering.  This building includes two parking levels, and four floors above ground level. The building consists of classrooms, various Offices, Research rooms, Meeting Rooms, Resource Rooms, a 350 seat Concert Hall and 150-Seat Black box amphitheatre and associated practice & dressing rooms, and an Indigenous Community area.
The mechanical system designed consists of followings:
1- In-floor heating for entire ground floor above parking level, including classrooms and offices.
2- Ten (10) VAV air handling units c/w VAV terminal boxes and duct distribution
3- Displacement Ventilation system for two amphitheatres
4- Twelve Fan Coils, thirty seven (37) Exhaust Fans, several Fin-Tubes, convectors, unit heaters, etc.
5- Two Steam to HW heat exchanger. Steam provided by central steam plant and transferred to the building via existing pipe tunnel.
6- Snow Melting System for underground parking entrance ramp
7- Sprinkler and stand-pipe system throughout the building
8- New Building Automation System
